  1. This article is a nice change of pace from the others because it's one of the only ones hopeful about the future. While I know that anti-homosexual attitudes are nowhere near eradicated, but I do believe that people have become more accepting. Recently a member of one of my classes expressed that they had anti-homosexual attitudes, and I instantly noticed a tension towards the person. I even find elders to be slightly more accepting than they used to. This makes me hopeful that, in the not-so-far future, life will be much less aversive for those from the LGBT community.

  2. We hear so frequently about homophobia making teenagers' lives miserable, so to hear that LGBT students are being given more freedom to express themselves is rather encouraging. It shows us that there really is potential for change, and that if we continue on the track we are now, we can continue to make great strides in acceptance - because we already have. Though homophobia still lingers in some parts of the country, things are looking bright.

Hate to be negative, but if you are gay and black you are not accepted.
Being an African American I feel as though sometimes, they are more accepting as gay then black.
